This fortified wine is made by Toro Albala, a winery founded in 1922 in the heart of the Cordoba countryside. Made from the Pedro Ximenez grape of 1994, this dark, citrus wine has a clean and sweet flavour with notes of orange rind, liquorice, coffee and cinnamon. It is velvety on the tongue which balances the acidity and bitterness. It is aged for 25 years in an oak barrel.
It pairs excellently with chocolate, ice cream or blue cheese.
